<description><![CDATA[ Every month the courts of England and Wales issues thousands of County Court Judgements (CCJ) to companies.If you receive a CCJ it is likely to make trading more difficult and can lead on to a winding up petition for your business.<br /><br />If a creditor of a company or sole trading business is unable to collect the money that it is owed, it can apply to the court to issue a County Court Judgement (CCJ). A CCJ is an order made by the local court to force the payment of the debt. <br /><br />There is no lower limit to the amount of debt for which a county court judgement can be applied for. However, a creditor will generally employ a solicitor to carry out the application process on their behalf and therefore it would be unusual to apply for a CCJ for a debt of less than GBP100.<br /><br />When a county court judgment is applied for, the person or company who owes the money normally has 14 days to confirm or dispute the debt.<br /><br />If you are in receipt of a county court judgement application and agree that you owe the debt, it is important that you respond with a proposal of how the debt will be repaid. It does not have to be payed at once, sensible repayment proposals (e.g. a certain amount per month) will frequently be accepted by the court. Once the judgement is made, the creditor is then legally bound to accept the plan. They cannot add further interest or collection charges and take further action as long as the terms of the judgement are met.<br /><br />Ability to trade affected if you ignore the CCJ<br /><br />It is very important not to ignore the application. If you do this, then the court will generally have no choice other than to accept its validity. The judgement will then be made and will normally be or the immediate payment of the outstanding debt in full with no option to pay over time. <br /><br />If a CCJ is issued, the company's ability to trade will be affected. The first and most obvious effect of the judgement will be that the company's credit rating is damaged. The judgement will be advertised in the Stubbs Gazette and recorded on the company's credit file. Once this happens it will be much harder for the business to borrow from its bank in terms of a company overdraft or business loan.<br /><br />Another issue that will be created by the CCJ is the impact on new business relationships. If a potential new client or supplier performs a credit check they will turn up the CCJ and this is very likely to affect the relationship even before it starts.<br /><br />Possible winding up action<br /><br />If you receive a County Court Judgement but cannot afford to pay the debt, you must not ignore this action. Generally if a CCJ is issued and not paid, the next form of action by the creditor will be to issue a statutory demand for the payment of the debt. After 21 days from receiving a statutory demand, the creditor can then apply for a petition to wind up the company.<br /><br />For this reason, not responding to and ultimately not paying a CCJ can have very serious consequences for a business. <description><![CDATA[ Thousands of county court judgements are issued to companies in England and Wales every month. Receiving a CCJ will make trading made more difficult and may lead to a petition for the winding up of the business.<br /><br />Where a creditor of a company (or sole trader) is unable to collect their debt, they can apply to the court to issue a County Court Judgement (CCJ). While there is no minimum limit on the amount for which a CCJ can be applied for, it is normal to instruct a solicitor to carry out the application and therefore would be unusual for the debt to be less than GBP100. A County Court Judgement (technically a County Court Judgment [note spelling]) is an order made by the local court to force payment of the debt.<br /><br />Once a county court judgement has been applied for, the debtor is notified and given the opportunity to either confirm that the debt is owed or to dispute it. <description><![CDATA[ Small Business Administration or SBA is a United State government agency that works independently to protect the interests of small businesses and provide them a chance to receive fair percentage of all possible government contracts. The aim of this federal government organization is to assist small and unprivileged business owners in receiving different government programs and opportunities that ensure their potential business growth and success.  <br /><br />The Mission<br /><br />The organization was found in July, 1953 largely as a response to the economic turmoil that emerged due to the Depression and World War II. Since its inception, the stated mission of the Small Business Administration has been to: "Maintain and strengthen the nation's economy by aiding, counseling, assisting and protecting the interests of small businesses and by helping families and businesses recover from national disasters." Over time different contracts and initiatives have been included within the SBA programs to make it more affective and advantageous. Today, the SBA program includes facilities like advice, loans and government contracts for minorities, veterans and women. <br /><br />How it Works<br /><br />The structure of the SBA development program has been designed to provide support to small business owners by offering them loans, backing them with loans from other lenders and most importantly counseling them. These counseling sessions are carried out by the Administration with help from several resource partners, which includes Small Business Development Centers, the Service Corps of Retired Executives or SCORE, the Veterans' Business Outreach Program, Women's Business Centers and several other SBA lenders. Counseling, training programs and all other required resources are provided by the Small Business Administration in conjunction with these recourse partners. <br /><br />SBA Programs<br /><br />Depending on its objective and approach, SBA programs can be divided into several broad segments under which all specified sections are listed and maintained. The programs are classified as:  <br />•	Technical Assistance <br />•	Financial Assistance<br />•	Contracting Assistance<br />•	Disaster Assistance Recovery<br />•	Special Interests<br />•	Advocacy, Laws & Regulations <br />•	Civil Rights Compliance or CRC <br /><br />From the beginning till the turn of the century Small Business Administration SBA has been successful in providing almost twenty million loans and other benefits to small business owners across the country. In its endeavor to provide complete assistance, SBA has even introduced online classes to train and guide small business owners and al least has one office in every state. With successful programs and millions of subscribers, Small Business Administration has established itself as one of the most cost efficient government agencies and the “largest single financial backer” in the country.  <br /> ]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[ For small business entrepreneurs, getting loans for the development of their businesses is extremely essential. However, there are quite a few number of small business loan rates offered by the U.S. SBA to help socially or economically disadvantaged small businesses. This option is only available for businesses that are owned or operated by women, minority or service unable veterans. SBA 8a program is perhaps one of the most availed small business programs offered by the U.S. Small Business Administration. This program is extremely advantageous for small businesses when it comes to selling services or products to the federal government. <br />	<br />According to the last statistics available, during 2007 there were nearly 7,400 SBA 8a contractors across the country and almost 47% of them were awarded with at least one contract. Here is an overview of the 8a program and a brief about its application eligibility requirements. <br /><br />The certification process of Small Business Administration primarily consists of three parts, each with distinct significance. <br />•	Part I:<br />The first part of the program ensures that at least 51% of the small business applicant for the 8a status is owned by a woman or a qualifying minority. Not only that, the majority owner should also be involved in the daily operation of the business in consistence with their percentage of ownership. In this endeavor, the SBA uses a comprehensive system to analyze and identify the individual majority owner and make sure that they conform to all the regulations of the program. <br /><br />•	Part II:<br />The second part of the SBA 8a certification program demands the applicants to prove that they are economically disadvantaged. There is however, a standard set by the SBA that qualifies any business to be considered as economically disadvantaged. The majority share holder of the business must have a net income of over $250,000. Personal residence and company ownership value is however, excluded from this amount. <br /><br />•	Part III:<br />In the third part, the SBA thoroughly examines the applicant’s business to make sure the business qualifies all the small business size requirements. The SBA further makes sure that the applicant’s business is not on the list of prohibited businesses for becoming 8a certified. The size standards for qualifying small business are based on the North American Industry Classification System code that says:<br />“The SBA has established three base size standards, which are (1) 500 employees for manufacturing, mining, and other industries with employee-based size standards (except for wholesale trade), (2) $7 million in average annual receipts for most non-manufacturing industries with receipts-based size standards, and (3) 100 employees for all wholesale trade industries.”<br /><br />However, there are considerable variations among the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes. <br /> ]]></description>
